(Inge Cannon) Good materials include the
tape set, Finally Organized. If you need help with organization, home maintenance,
and training your children to do their chores well, this set is for you! Mrs. Cannon says
that more homeschooling moms get discouraged because of poor home management
skills than for any other reason. Regarding children's chores she says,
"You don't get what you expect; you get what you inspect."
"Service Opportunities Chart" from Doorposts will help you simplify chore assignments.

A dear friend, and mother of seven children, applies the Biblical principle found in
Proverbs 14:4 to having children in the home: "Where no oxen are, the crib is clean:
but much increase is by the strength of the ox." And remember what Psalm 127:3 says,
"Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward."

that makes life blessed." -- Goethe

the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among
whom ye shine as lights in the world;" Philippians 2:14, 15

Luke 16:10 says, "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that
is unjust in the least is unjust also in much." That sounds a little like "baby steps" to me for
us and for our children! It also brings to mind Isaiah 28:10, "For precept must be upon
precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:"
Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap,
if we faint not." Our prayer is first and foremost that our homes bring glory and honor to
the Lord. It is an added blessing when our husbands count us faithful and our children, as
predicted in Proverbs 31:28, "arise up and call us blessed!"
